LEAD (Lead. Empower. Advocate. Develop.)

LEAD (Lead. Empower. Advocate. Develop.) is a program from aspiring instructional coaches and administrators aimed at developing the knowledge and skills to help teachers improve student learning through establishing a student-centered culture, leading effective professional learning communities, conducting coaching cycles and supporting novice teachers.

Program Overview: A project-based intensive designed for teachers and instructional coaches seeking to develop the skills necessary to lead professional learning communities and support teacher growth.

Eligibility Requirements: Candidates must have a Master’s degree, at least four years of experience, and relevant experience leading or supporting other adults. Selection requires a resume, cover letter, video reflection, and principal recommendation.

Purpose: To equip aspiring instructional coaches and administrators with the skills to establish a student-centered culture and drive instructional improvement.

How Will I Learn?  The program involves 45 hours of seminars and lab sessions. Participants gain hands-on experience by coaching another teacher and leading a team through an improvement cycle, using data to guide programs, and supporting novice teachers.

Outcomes: LEAD strengthens leadership capacity and elevates preparation for IC or administrative roles. LEAD graduates consistently outshine other applicants for key positions in GCS.
