Instructional Leaders Academy
Instructional Leaders Academy builds skills for assistant school leaders to establish, monitor and support high quality instruction to meet student goals. The program for administrative assistants and assistant principals features group collaboration with school leadership and GCS Academics Departments. It includes instructional, operational and cultural leadership training, opportunities to lead peers, manage groups and facilitate instructional improvement and on-site coaching by principals and peers.
Program Overview: A collaborative program for currently serving APs and AAs that advances instructional, cultural, and operational leadership. It ensures systemwide alignment by preparing leaders to manage school-based systems effectively.
Eligibility: Open to all currently serving GCS assistant principals and administrative assistants
Purpose: To elevate the impact of administrators by building their capacity to establish, monitor, and support high-quality instruction while mastering the operational and systems leadership necessary for a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment
How Will I Learn? Features multiple sessions per year held in collaboration with school leadership and Academics departments. Training covers instructional rigor, operational systems, and sustaining a culture of achievement.
Outcomes: Participants receive on-site coaching and peer feedback, enhancing their ability to manage teams and facilitate complex instructional improvement processes.
