Brian J. Sherman - Assistant to the Superintendent and District OmbudsmanBiographical Information:

Brian J. Sherman serves as District Ombudsman/Assistant to the Superintendent for Greenville County Schools. Mr. Sherman previously served as principal of Landrum High School and as assistant principal of curriculum and instruction at Lugoff-Elgin High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University and a master’s degree in education from Winthrop University.

Responsibilities:

As Assistant to the Superintendent and District Ombudsman, Mr. Sherman is responsible for helping parents resolve issues. He works closely with parents, listening to their concerns and directing them to the most appropriate staff member or department to resolve issues involving their child’s education. When parents have exhausted all options, including talking to their child’s teacher and principal, Mr. Sherman is available to discuss other avenues necessary to rectify their concerns about their child’s education.
