Notice of Opportunity - Advanced Placement Physics Teacher

Advanced Placement Physics Teacher needed in Greenville, SC: Permanent, full-time position. Standard benefits are provided: Teach high-school students advanced physics topics, including mechanics, electromagnetism, and quantum theory; Develop and implement standards-based lesson plans, laboratory experiences, and assessments aligned to curriculum guidelines; Prepare students for success in Advanced Placement coursework, STEM pathways, and postsecondary opportunities; Use mathematical modeling, scientific inquiry, laboratory investigations, and technology-based instructional tools to support student learning; Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs while maintaining high academic expectations; Assess student progress through exams, lab reports, projects, and classroom assessments, providing timely feedback and intervention support when needed; Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and assessment records in compliance with district policies; Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific reasoning skills in a rigorous academic environment; and Collaborate with faculty, instructional staff, and school leadership to support continuous program improvement and student achievement.

#Minimum requirements: a) Bachelor’s degree in Physics Education, General Physics; Secondary Education, or related fields; (b) Eligibility to obtain the state teaching license, shown by having a bachelor’s degree plus special knowledge in the teaching area; and (c) 3 years of prior work experience in related occupations.
