At the Superintendent’s Academic Achievement Awards celebration, Greenville County Schools recognized significant academic growth and performance from the 2024-25 school year for all schools, special programs, and centers.

Jeff McCoy Award of Instructional Innovation

This award honors the educational legacy of retiring Associate Superintendent for Academics Jeff McCoy, whose years of service and visionary leadership have left an enduring impact on Greenville County Schools. The award this year recognized two schools for their overall academic growth in ELA and Math. During the 2024-25 school year, Alexander Elementary and Lakeview Middle School grew in student proficiency through their participation in the Elevate model and their use of transformation strategies.

The awards were celebrated after the South Carolina Department of Education released the 2024-2025 test scores for End of Course Examination Programs (EOCEP) and South Carolina College- and Career-Ready Assessments (SC READY) for English Language Arts and Mathematics.
