Riverside High School’s Swim Teams and Cross Country Teams joined together to help flood victims in Sumter, South Carolina. Many of the students at Lemira Elementary School in Sumter were directly affected by recent flood waters and were in need of shoes, clothing, toiletries, etc. The Riverside Swim teams enlisted the help of the RHS student body to gather needed supplies. When Riverside hosted a Cross Country meet, the competing teams brought supplies to help the cause. The response was so great that a U-Haul truck had to be rented for the trip to Sumter.
