Outstanding Performance Awards
Congratulations to Mauldin Middle School, Mauldin High School, Travelers Rest High School, and Riverside High School bands for earning the Outstanding Performance Award for the 2014-2015 school year. The Outstanding Performance Award is the highest award for bands given by the South Carolina Band Directors Association. To receive this honor, bands must demonstrate a high level of proficiency in all areas of the band program. They receive points for high scores at the State Marching contest (high schools only), All-Region and All-State Band competitions, Concert Performance Assessment, and Solo and Ensemble. Mauldin Middle School earned 50 out of 50 possible points, exceeding the required 45 points. Travelers Rest High School and Riverside High School earned 96 out of 100 possible points, exceeding the required 90 points. Mauldin High School earned all 100 points. Congratulations to these fine band programs!
