Twenty-seven Seniors Awarded Scholarships from Pepsi-GCS Golf Tournament Proceeds
Greenville County Schools has awarded 27 Pepsi-Greenville County Schools Golf Tournament scholarships to seniors at a luncheon sponsored by Pepsi-Cola of Greenville. Eighteen recipients were chosen from entries received from District employees' children. The remaining scholarship winners were selected from students' applications across the school system.
The 2013 scholarship recipients are: Tre'von Gray, Berea High; Mason Hardy, Blue Ridge High; Nick Estes, Brashier Middle College Charter High; Mily Rodriguez, Carolina High School & Academy; Grace Compton, Eastside High; Andrea Hunt, Eastside High; Chase Pritchett, Greenville Sr. High Academy; Laney Stephens, Greenville Sr. High Academy; Lauren Saffy, Greer High; Dylan Bargar, Greer Middle College Charter High; Sara Heller, Hillcrest High; Ashton Getchell; J. L. Mann High Academy; Matt Tucker, J. L. Mann High Academy; Olivia Baddley, Mauldin High; Lauren Tomes, Mauldin High; Carlie Kerechanin, Riverside High; Karen Kerechanin, Riverside High; Stephen Goff, Southside High Academy; Keya Talley, Southside High Academy; Chloe Christopher, Travelers Rest High; Susannah Myers, Travelers Rest High; Sarah Pratt, Travelers Rest High; Lyndon Neil, Wade Hampton High; Barry Pyle, Wade Hampton High; Ramsie Day, Woodmont High; Andrews Emerson, Woodmont High; and Bren Westbrook, Woodmont High.
Judges for this year’s scholarship program were: Tami Miller, LEAD Coordinator for the Greenville Chamber; Mary Capers Bledsoe, Executive Director of the SC YMCA Youth in Government; and David S. Ward, Owner of Shred A Way.
The 17th annual Pepsi/Greenville County Schools Golf Tournament was held last fall at Pebble Creek Club and raised more than $26,000 for the scholarships.
