The Board of Trustees invites public input regarding proposed boundary changes to Board members’ election areas.  The Board, as all elected bodies, must approve a redistricting plan based on population changes per the 2010 Census.  The redistricting plan must also be approved by the State Legislature and U.S. Justice Department.

The Board, meeting as a Committee of the Whole, reviewed two proposed redistricting maps and gave tentative approval to Map B.  The Board of Trustees will consider approval of the redistricting plan during its regular meeting on Tuesday evening, January 24.

The public is encouraged to review the proposed plans (maps A and B, and population makeup and constituent retention for each) and to contact their current Board member and/or speak during the public comment segment during the Board’s Tuesday, January 24 meeting beginning at 7:00 p.m.  Persons wishing to speak may sign up from 6:15 to 6:50 p.m. at the J. Floyd Hall Administrative Center, 301 East Camperdown Way, Greenville.
