American Education Week – November 17-21, 2025

To honor the district’s super star staff, Greenville County Schools is celebrating American Education Week November 17-21, 2025. This week is set aside to shine a light on those who give selflessly each day to ensure success for every child and highlight effort it takes to make that happen.

Throughout the week, GCS will celebrate its 12,000 staff members who are keeping students engaged, providing meals, developing and improving technical skills, transporting them to clean, safe school buildings, connecting families to schools virtually and developing out-of-the-box solutions to whatever unique circumstances each child faces.

GCS will recognize employees each day of the week in the following categories:

• Monday – School Support Staff
• Tuesday – Transportation Staff
• Wednesday – Educators
• Thursday – Operations and Maintenance Staff
• Friday – District Staff
