GCS to Dedicate School Security Center to Sgt. William Conley Jumper, Jr.
Greenville County Schools invites the community to attend the dedication of its School Security Center, honoring the life and legacy of Sgt. William Conley Jumper, Jr.

The dedication ceremony will include remarks from Greenville County Sheriff Hobart Lewis, Dr. W. Burke Royster, Superintendent of Greenville County Schools, and Deputy Cat Jumper, daughter of Sgt. Jumper. The program will feature a special dedication service and unveiling of the Center’s new sign.
The School Security Center serves as a hub for training, coordination, and rapid response, strengthening the district’s commitment to ensuring safe, secure learning environments for all students and staff.
Parking Information
General parking will be available near the Security Center at 2 Space Drive, Taylors. Overflow parking will be located at Wade Hampton Lanes at 3065 Wade Hampton Blvd., Taylors, with transportation provided to and from the event site.
About Sgt. William Conley Jumper, Jr.
Sgt. Jumper served the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office for 28 years, including 10 years in the School Enforcement Division. His distinguished career reflected his deep commitment to protecting schools and the community. The School Security Center is dedicated in his honor, recognizing his courage, service and sacrifice.
