Greenville County Schools Hall of Fame Inductees Announced
The Greenville County Schools Hall of Fame will induct six new members at its annual Gala in November. The 2024 Class includes five graduates and one educator.
2024 Graduate Inductees
Kahran Bethencourt, Wade Hampton High Class of 1998
Johnny Mack Brown, Greenville Sr. High Academy Class of 1955
Daniel Miyares, Hillcrest High Class of 1998
Dr. Bethany Smith, Southside High Class of 2002
Dr. Virginia Uldrick, Greenville Sr. High Academy Class of 1946

The Hall of Fame honors men and women who have graduated from or worked at Greenville County Schools and have made substantial or significant contributions at the local, regional, national or international levels in areas such as academia and education, arts, athletics, business, media, public service, philanthropy, medicine, military or science. The GCS Hall of Fame is the vision of District Superintendent Dr. Burke Royster. The induction event is hosted by the Greenville County Schools Foundation.
The event is Thursday, November 21, at 5:30 p.m. at the Greenville Convention Center. It is for ticketed guests only. Tickets and sponsorships must be purchased by Monday, November 11.
Inductees were selected by a committee of representatives from the School Board of Trustees, GCS Foundation, GCS administrators, previous Hall of Fame inductees and community leaders.
