A free night of baseball for GCS students!
It’s the perfect way to kick off the new school year—a free night of baseball with the Greenville Drive! On Tuesday, August 3 at 7:05 PM (gates open at 6 PM), What is “AM&E Night,” all K-12 students are invited to attend Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering Night at Flour Field. The Upstate’s top manufacturers, including BMW, Michelin, Milliken, Duke Energy, Bosch Rexroth, Hoowaki, Koops, General Electric and Hubbell Lighting, will have exhibits set up all along the concourse with the goal of getting students interested in manufacturing and engineering careers. It’s also a chance to win some great prizes, including a GoPro camera!
“AM&E Night at Flour Field is one of our most anticipated nights of the year,” said Eric Williams, executive director for Career and Education Technology for Greenville County Schools. “Not only are students treated to a great night of baseball, they’re introduced to a world of high-skilled, high-paying, and in-demand jobs in the Upstate that literally can change the course of their lives.”
Here’s how it works: students should head to the Greenville Drive’s website to receive their complimentary ticket. Upon arrival at the game, they’ll receive a “passport” to visit exhibits from the region’s top AM&E companies, as well as Greenville Technical College and The Children’s Museum of the Upstate. Students who visit all the exhibits will be entered to win an iDevices Home Package, drones, V/R headsets and a BMW Performance School Driving Experience. Plus, those who register for the event by July 31 will be entered to win a GoPro!
