Jackson James McNair, College Undecided
With a love for hands-on building, Jackson has set a goal of becoming an engineer. He describes himself as athletically involved and community-minded. When he realized that some students were homeless, he organized a Giving Tree project to anonymously provide them with toiletries and food. He is a member of the Beta Club, HOSA Club, Mu Alpha Theta, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Jackson is the son of Peyton McNair, who is a substitute teacher at Mauldin High and Mauldin Middle schools.
Kavya Patchipulusu, University of South Carolina
Kavya once taught a deaf child to dance by feeling the musical vibrations through a speaker. She hopes to continue research into the relationship between music and neurological stimulation in deaf children. She is a member of the school’s HOSA Future Health Professionals Club, Varsity Tennis team, National Honor Society, and Spanish National Honor Society. She is an excellent dancer and coaches children in dance. Kavya is the daughter of Aruna and Prasad Patchipulusu.
Jaimeen Ketan Shah, College Undecided
Jaimeen plans to major in psychology and business with the ultimate goal of becoming the U. S. Surgeon General. In addition to being an exceptional student, Jaimeen has been active in Beta Club, HOSA, Mu Alpha Theta, basketball, Student Council, and National Honor Society. He has received numerous awards for his research in the medical field, and he volunteers at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Jaimeen is the son of Ketan and Ragi Shah.
