Brushy Creek Elementary, Hillcrest High, League Academy, and Stone Academy have been recognized for their exemplary efforts to maintain safe work environments and support their employees’ safe work practices during the 2016-17 school year

The schools were evaluated on best practices for employee safety, including the promotion of safety and prevention for all school staff; participation in staff and student safety programs; following district procedures for managing and reporting employee injuries, attendance at tri-annual Safety Administrator meetings; and building and cafeteria inspections.

Each school received a banner and a check for $500. Funding for the awards program was provided by Carolina Case Management, Horton, Drawdy, Ward, Mullinax, and Farry P.A., Willson Jones Carter & Baxley, P.A., Bon Secours St. Francis WorkWell, and PMA Management Company.
