This weeks GCS “Players of the Week” features a runner who has put herself into the record books as the first school record holder in cross country and a football player who accounted for six touchdowns…in the 1st half!

Janiyah Hagood, Carolina Cross Country – The Carolina Trojans cross-country team is in its inaugural season. Janiyah Hagood has written herself into the school record books as the first ever school record holder.

Dre Harris, Mauldin Football – Dre has led the Mavericks to a 4-1 start this season. In the final non-region game for the Mavericks, Harris accounted for six touchdowns in the 1st half! Dre threw for four scores and rushed for 96 yards and two TDs.

Donald Wilson, Berea Football – 3 tackles, 1 assist, I forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery for a TD against Wade Hampton

Molly Bryant, Berea Tennis – Won singles match vs Eastside and doubles vs Powdersville last week

Grayson Martin, Eastside Cross Country – Set personal best time last week

Cara Bognar, Eastside Swim – 2nd in 200 IM, 3rd in 100 Fly, setting personal bests in both events

Lindsey Jarecki, Greer Volleyball – 48 kills, 20 aces, 33 digs and 3 block assists last week

Taylor Houston, Greer Cross Country – Finished 13th at Canned Food 5K with personal best 20:04 and finished 11th at Cavalier Classic as a 7th grader

Ethan Nichols, Hillcrest Football – 143 yards rushing and 3 TDs in win over Woodmont

Christina Ellwanger, Hillcrest Volleyball – Led team to 2 wins last week and 4-0 in region play

Summer Scott, JL Mann Cheer – Team leader with great work ethic, won individual tumbling at recent cheer competition

Averius Blakely, Mauldin football – 286 all-purpose yards in a half, including 84 yard KO return for a score and a rushing TD. 121 yds rushing on 6 carries!

Brandon Meier, Riverside Swim – Won 200 Free and 50 Free and lead two relay victories in 200 Medley and 400 Free at Warrior Invite

Gabby Laymon, Riverside Golf – Shot 45 in both matches last week to lead Warriors

Kadarius Sullivan, Wade Hampton football – 6 rushes for 92 yards and two TDs to lead Generals to 4th straight victory

Chloe Hiott, Wade Hampton golf – Shot consecutive rounds of 43 to lead Generals to two victories last week
