Dr. Jason McCreary Earns Excellence in Education Award
Dr. Jason McCreary, Director of Accountability and Quality Assurance for Greenville County Schools, has been named the recipient of the AdvancED Excellence in Education Award for 2014-2015.
The award recognizes service in leading and empowering the community to ensure that all learners reach their full potential, for creating and initiating change, growth and innovation for every learner, and for pursuing and advancing excellence in education.
As a member of the South Carolina Council of AdvancED, Dr. McCreary provides services to districts across the state and nation to encourage continuous improvement. Dr. McCreary and the Council provide leadership for the state to ensure both schools and districts meet rigorous professional standards while raising student achievement. In following their commitment to help schools improve, the Council also provides professional development and other support services to schools and districts.
Dr. McCreary has served as Director of Accountability and Quality Assurance for Greenville County Schools since 2002. He earned a doctorate in leadership and policy from the University of Utah, and bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Mississippi State University.
