Southside High Speech and Debate Team
Congratulations to the Southside High Speech and Debate Team on a fantastic showing at the 2014 George Mason University Patriot Games National Speech and Debate Competition. With 150 very competitive schools in attendance, the mighty Tigers finished the weekend in 4th place overall. Special salutes go out to Rahul Raghavan for reaching the final round of Lincoln Douglas Debate (2nd place) as well as to Chase Garrett and Kendal "Drew" Samuel for reaching the final round of Duo Interpretation (2nd place). Honorable mention goes to Tyler Kelly who advanced beyond the preliminary rounds in four categories (Dramatic Interpretation, Duo Interpretation, Prose Reading & Storytelling).
