As many of you know, or have seen, construction of a new athletic performance center is in progress. As part of a district-wide project, each high school in Greenville County has or will have a new building within the next couple of years. This new addition, located in close proximity to the stadium, will serve WHHS athletes, students, and even school staff members. In the effort to enhance the overall high school experience for our students, we desire to furnish the performance center with new and updated equipment, and re-furnish the current weight room with fitness equipment to be accessible by all students and staff. Former college strength and conditioning coach, and current Wade Hampton strength coach, Wayne Brown, has assessed the needs, and helped create the vision for what the performance center requires. After meeting with nationally known Williams Strength and developing a plan for the current project and future maintenance, we have developed a plan based on safety and advice from experienced professionals.

In order to complete the project, including updating the existing weight room for students and staff, we need your help in financing the cost of the equipment. While the building is being paid for, the school is responsible for purchasing the new equipment. The Wade Hampton community has a long standing tradition of supporting the school through charitable donations and fundraising efforts. We are counting on your support in helping us continue and grow a sense of “General Pride” through financial assistance for these projects. Please see the attached proposal, which includes drawings of the performance center and equipment, along with estimates for purchasing the necessary equipment and accessory pieces to benefit our athletes and entire school. The completion date is nearing and we would like to meet our financial needs as quickly as possible. No amount is too small or too large. Thanks for your support of Wade Hampton High School!
