Why Reedy Laurel Elementary
Reedy Laurel Elementary is Greenville County’s newest elementary school and offers a distinctive approach to learning centered on environmental science. Students learn by asking questions, exploring the world around them, and connecting classroom concepts to meaningful, hands-on experiences.
Inquiry, sustainability and environmental stewardship are woven throughout the Reedy Laurel experience, helping students become curious thinkers, creative problem-solvers and thoughtful collaborators. With innovative learning spaces, dedicated educators and a growing school community, Reedy Laurel gives students the opportunity to help shape traditions while developing a lifelong joy of learning.

School tours are offered Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m. from September 9 through May 5. Families may schedule a tour using the school’s online scheduling form.

Environmental science is more than a special program at Reedy Laurel, it is part of the school’s identity. Inquiry, sustainability, hands-on labs and a “context before content” philosophy give students opportunities to understand why they are learning something and how it connects to the world around them.
As a new school community, Reedy Laurel also offers families a unique opportunity to establish traditions, build relationships and help create a school culture designed to grow with its students.
