GCS Advantage

At Monarch Elementary, learning is connected to the real world through project-based and inquiry-based learning, allowing students opportunities to ask questions, investigate problems, collaborate and apply what they learn to authentic situations. Monarch emphasizes skills such as questioning, critical thinking, creativity, communication, and problem solving integrated through the rigor of everyday instruction. Through its unique Health Science focus, students have opportunities to explore medical, environmental, physical movement, and nutrition-related concepts. Partnerships, clinical speakers, and career connections assist students in seeing how classroom learning connects to possible careers.

"Why Monarch? Monarch is more than a school to our family, it's a community. My children have had opportunities to learn, grow, build meaningful relationships, and feel a true sense of belonging. After being part of the Monarch community since 2015, we are grateful to have entrusted our children’s foundational years to a school and staff that truly care. We love Monarch!”

– 5th Grade Parent

"When choosing a school, every parent hopes for a place where their children will be challenged academically and cared for as individuals. For our family, Monarch Elementary has been that and so much more. This year marks our sixth year as part of the Monarch community, with our daughters now in third and fifth grade. My involvement as a room parent, Executive PTA Board member, substitute teacher, and SIC parent representative has given me a unique, front-row seat to how the school operates.”
