Why Enoree Career Center

Enoree Career Center gives students opportunities that go well beyond a traditional classroom. Students learn in specialized labs, shops, kitchens, and classrooms using the same types of tools, equipment, and technology found in today’s workplaces. Our teachers bring real industry experience into their instruction and help students prepare for high-skill, high-wage, and high-demand careers. Students can also earn technical certifications recognized by employers and take part in learning experiences that would be difficult to provide anywhere other than a career center. At its heart, Enoree is here to prepare students for work. That means teaching strong technical skills, but it also means helping students become dependable, safety-minded employees who can communicate, solve problems, work with others, and take responsibility for the job in front of them.

Students apply to attend Enoree the following school year through GCS Student Backpack during the designated application window. Most core programs require a two-year commitment and accept students entering tenth or eleventh grade. Cosmetology begins in eleventh grade, while Law Enforcement is a one-year option for students entering tenth through twelfth grade. Students entering ninth or tenth grade may choose Career Exploratory or Introduction to Manufacturing, both one-semester options that include Personal Finance. Some programs have additional age, medical, or participation requirements, so review the current program information before applying. Discuss your choices during your IGP meeting, and work with your counselor to review grade-level eligibility, program requirements, and how Enoree fits into your schedule.
"Enoree Career Center's welding program gave my son a strong foundation and valuable hands-on skills that helped prepare him for success after high school. The training, work ethic, and confidence he gained through the welding program at Enoree prepared him for his career with full time position apprentice program at GE Vernova and helped him complete his degree at Greenville Technical College."
