America 250: Middle School Entries

Theme: Celebrating America

Greenville County Schools students in grades 6–8 are invited to share what America means to them through writing, visual art, photography, speech, song, or dance.

Grades 6–8 Requirements

Category	Requirement
Essay	200–300 words
Poetry	12–16 lines
Artwork	2-D: 8½ × 11, 9 × 12, 11 × 14, or 12 × 18 inches; 3-D: maximum 24 × 24 inches. Include an artist statement.
Photography	Up to 3 photographs with an artist statement.
Speech	2–3 minutes
Song	2–3 minutes; include an artist statement.
Dance	2–3 minutes; include an artist statement.

Students submitting artwork or photography must also share their physical entries with their teacher or school by October 30, 2026.
