SC READY Assessment Test Results Released
GCS students in grades 3 through 8 scored higher that the state average on the new SC READY (South Carolina College- and Career-Ready Assessments). The initial administration of SC READY was in spring 2016.
SC READY tests in English/Language Arts (ELA) and mathematics. Four performance levels are awarded: Exceeds Expectations, Meets Expectations, Approaches Expectations, and Does Not Meet Expectation. Results will be used for state and federal accountability purposes.
The percentage of GCS students scoring Meets Expectations and Exceeds Expectations was higher than the percentage of SC students scoring Meets Expectations and Exceeds Expectations in both subject areas and at all grade levels.
