Chris Burras, Academic Specialist/STEAM SpecialistThe South Carolina Science Education Leadership Association (SCSELA) unanimously approved the 2016-17 slate of officers at the May 13th meeting in Columbia, SC.

Chris Burras, Academic Specialist/STEAM Specialist, has been appointed treasurer of the SCSELA. Her current work includes the development and coordination of science programs and offerings for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. She is also responsible for developing and instructional practices for K-12 Science. Chris coordinates and develops STEM/STEAM projects within the district and is an instructor for Clemson’s STEAM ALIVE. Additionally, Chris is an adjunct instructor for Furman University’s Project Based Learning (PBL) track resulting in PBL endorsement for teachers.

The new SCSELA board represents the state of South Carolina in enhancing education for elementary, middle, and secondary students through the improvement of science supervision.
