GCS Player of the Week - March 17

We have a special edition of the Greenville County Schools Player of the Week to celebrate our basketball all-stars!

Asiah Jones, Woodmont Wildcats Basketball.  Asiah has been named to the 2016 North Carolina vs South Carolina All-Star team.  This past season Asiah was among her teams leaders in scoring and rebounding and was one of the best in the state at blocking shots.

Brooke Jordan-Brown, Riverside Warriors Basketball – Brooke has been named to the 2016 North Carolina vs South Carolina All-Star team.  Brooke has been a starter on the Lady Warriors team since the 8th grade and as a senior she led the team in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots.

Preston Parks, Wade Hampton Generals Basketball.  Preston has been named to the 2016 North Carolina vs South Carolina All-Star team.  Preston has been a 3-year captain and this season set school records for career scoring, career, 3-pointers made, single game scoring and 3-pointers in a game.

  • Ellen Spiers, Greenville Soccer – As a freshman, she has scored 2 goals for unbeaten Red Raiders
  • Quentin Martin, Hillcrest Track – 1st in Long Jump, 2nd in triple Jump at GSP Relay
  • Christy Beaman, Hillcrest Lacrosse – Led team in scoring in 2 wins last week
  • Ian Faulconer, JL Mann Golf – All-Tournament at Raider Invitational
  • Arianna Milicia, JL Mann Soccer – 4 goals and 6 assists in pre-season tournament
  • Jordan Adams, Riverside Lacrosse – 6 goals and 1 assist in last two games
  • Autumn Shea, Riverside Lacrosse – 10 goals and 4 assists
  • Jeremiah Talbert, Southside Track – 11.2 in 100m, 50.4 in 400 and on 4x100 and 4x400 relays
  • Deanna Thomas, Southside Soccer – Recognized as a team leader by her coach
  • Girls Soccer Team, Wade Hampton – Won their division in Viking Cup tournament in Columbia
