Greenville County Schools would like to recognize our student-athletes by announcing a male and female Player of the Week.  Athletes are nominated by their coaches and athletic directors for their excellence on the court.  This week’s winners are:

Preston Parks, Shooting Guard Wade Hampton High.  Preston averaged 29 points, 5 assists and 2 steals per game in region wins over Dorman and JL Mann.  Preston’s average was boosted by a huge night vs Mann, in which he hit nine 3-point baskets on his way to a school record 43 points.

Asiah Jones, Forward Woodmont Wildcats.  Asiah was big on both ends of the floor for the Wildcats last week.  Versus Westside she scored 14 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and added 3 blocked shots.  Against Greenville, Asiah scored 13 and grabbed 11 boards while blocking 6 shots on the defensive end.
