South Carolina's Program of Alternative Certification for Educators (PACE) is seeking individuals who are interested in becoming educators. PACE will host a free information session on Friday, October 16 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Hillcrest High School, 3665 S. Industrial Drive, Simpsonville.

Each year, more than 5,000 new teachers are hired by school districts in South Carolina. For the past three years, seven to ten percent of those new hires entered teaching through South Carolina's Program of Alternative Certification for Educators. PACE is designed to allow people who have not completed a traditional teacher education program to enter the teaching profession, working toward full licensure while teaching in their content area.
