Students Come to Aid of Flood Victims
Students at A.J. Whittenberg Elementary School in Greenville are collecting donations for flood victims in the Midlands. Fifth grade students are collecting toilet paper, diapers and bottled water. They call the donation drive, “Floating Hope to Columbia.”
Students watched video of flooded roads and homes in their classroom. They say it made them sad to see water levels near people’s rooftops. Students will collect donations from parents in car line through Friday.
