Saturday’s Event is Free and Open to the Public!

The public is invited to attend Star Wars Reads at Roper Mountain Science Center this Saturday, October 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This event is free to the public but space is limited. Gates will close when they reach full capacity. Come early and enjoy the fun!

Costumed Characters
You may spot a Stormtrooper or Boba Fett! Visitors are welcome to join in the costume fun!

Barnes & Noble Book Fair
Barnes & Noble will have a variety of Star Wars themed books and merchandise available for sale. Cash, checks and credit cards accepted.

Ellada Kouzina Food Truck
Enjoy the Greek delicacies of Ellada Kouzina! The truck will be located in the upper courtyard outside Symmes Hall (near the Observatory). Cash and credit cards accepted.

Bruster's Ice Cream
Enjoy a sweet treat! Cups ($3) and waffle cones ($4) available. Bruster's will be located in the upper courtyard outside Symmes Hall (near the Observatory). Cash only.

Meet Rowdy, the Greenville Road Warriors Mascot!
Rowdy will be out and about from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Butterfly Garden
Monarch butterfly tagging and releases at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 12 noon.

Living History Farm
Experience the rich history of the cabins and explore the beautiful gardens. Activities include blacksmithing, hearth cooking, weaving, toys and games, corn grinding and rice harvesting.
