Greenville County Schools and the Pleasantburg Rotary Club will host the 2014 Spring Sing concert on Tuesday, April 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the Peace Center. Tickets are $13 and can be purchased through the Peace Center box office.

Spring Sing offers elementary and middle school students from across Greenville County the opportunity to perform quality choral music in a state-of-the-art facility. Students are selected to participate based on music teacher recommendations. The students rehearse selected concert music with their teachers before and after school and even on the weekend prior to the event. During the week of the performance the students will spend a day working with a nationally known clinician. The culmination is a concert performance given at the Peace Center to a sold-out audience.

This event provides students with a meaningful performance experience and helps underscore the value of the performing arts in the community. Studies have shown that students who participate in music and other fine and performing arts activities tend to perform better than their peers academically, to stay in school, and to graduate on time.
