Monarch Elementary School Dedication
Monarch Elementary School was dedicated on Monday, November 11 during a special ceremony for staff, students, and the community. The celebration included remarks by School Board Chairman Chuck Saylors, Superintendent Burke Royster, and Principal Vaughan Overman. The dedication service was led by School Board Member Dr. Crystal Ball O’Connor.
Monarch Elementary opened in August 2012 to ease overcrowding in four nearby schools. Monarch is the first elementary school in the state and one of the few in the nation to focus on health sciences through project-based learning.
