Welcome Back to School!
Greenville County Schools today welcomed back more than 70,000 students. Students attend school in 96 schools and centers, including 51 elementary schools, 18 middle schools, 14 high schools, and 13 special centers. The largest school district in South Carolina and 50th largest district in the nation, Greenville County Schools employs about 8,650 full- and part-time permanent staff members. This number includes about 8,500 teachers and about 390 bus drivers, in addition to administrators, support staff, custodians, and other school personnel.
