GCS Celebrates Academic Achievements in Key Performance Areas
Greenville County Schools continued to celebrate overall achievement and growth with the Superintendent’s Academic Achievement Awards at the November principals’ meeting. Schools were recognized for Graduation Rate, College and Career Readiness, Work-Based Learning, Industry Certifications and CTE (Career & Technical Education) Completers. Awards were given related to growth and performance of Multilingual Learners and Students with Disabilities as their performance contributes to overall student achievement and success. Achievements celebrated today align with the District’s Graduation Plus initiative which focuses on students graduating with a high school diploma plus college credit and/or industry certifications, ensuring that they are college- and career-ready.
