Distinguished Literacy Teacher of the Year
Plain Elementary first grade teacher Philippa Haynes was recently named the Distinguished Literacy Teacher of the Year by the Greenville County International Reading Association. Eighteen GCS teachers were nominated for the honor. After reviewing the applications, the judges narrowed the field to the top three. Mrs. Haynes was selected following classroom observations of the finalists. Congratulations!
