Congratulations to Greenville County Schools’ middle and high school bands, strings, and choral ensembles for their outstanding performances at the South Carolina Concert Performance Assessment. Click here for results by school.

Each year the South Carolina Music Educators Association (SCMEA) hosts a state-level Concert Performance Assessment event where middle and high school music ensembles perform prepared pieces and sight-read new music they've never seen or practiced for a panel of judges. The judges are nationally recognized music educators and provide high quality, accurate feedback about things the ensemble is doing well and identify areas for improvement.

Groups are rated Superior (I), Excellent (II), Good (III), Fair (IV) and Poor (V) based upon their stage performance and demonstrated sight reading skills. This event is considered the pinnacle performance for music ensembles as groups prepare difficult music and strive to earn the highest rating possible.
