Fine Arts Alum to Host Benefit Concert
Delvin Choice, former contestant on the NBC singing competition “The Voice” is back in Greenville to host a fund raising event for his alma mater.
“Delvin, His Music, His Friends” is Thursday night, December 10, at 7:00 PM at the Black Box Theatre.
The event will raise funds for scholarships for students at the Fine Arts Center to attend summer programs in their specialties, to reduce costs of art supplies, field trips and college application costs.
Delvin will host and perform.
“The Fine Arts Center was my saving grace. I don't know who I would be nor where I would be if I hadn't have attended the Fine Arts Center. I am so thankful for Dr. Fluhrer and the Late Michael Rice for investing so much into me. Because of their investment along with my parents and so many others, I've been able to not only chase after my dream but to make my dream a reality. That’s the exact same thing that I want to be able to offer the current students at The Fine Arts Center. I want them to know that they are love, care for, and valued. I want them to all have an equal chance at success and equal chance to achieve their goals and dreams,” Choice said.
The Fine Arts Center hopes this will become an annual event. The goal is to raise $15,000.
