Riverside High School brought a bus load of students and a giant check to the Washington Center.  Riverside High School brought a bus load of students and a giant check to the Washington Center. Students donated $7,000 from their activities fund to help Washington Center take its medically fragile students on field trips.

Students from Washington Center presented cards to the Riverside students.  Riverside Principal Andy Crowley recently learned that it costs Washington Center a minimum of $2,000 to take a single field trip because of the medical assistance needed. To ease the burden, Crowley asked the treasurers of his students organizations if they could cut their budget for a good cause. Within hours the groups returned with $7,000.

The students from Riverside presented the check and joined in a spontaneous dance party celebration. Students from Washington Center presented cards to the Riverside students. One card read, “Thanks To You The Wheels On Our Bus Can Continue To Go Round and Round All Through The Town.”
