Greenville County Schools’ Class of 2014, with more than 4,200 graduates, received more than $113.9 million in college scholarship offers, a $7.8 million increase over last year. This amount includes $29.9 million in Legislative Incentive for Future Excellence (LIFE) Scholarships and $7.8 million in Palmetto Fellows scholarships. Both LIFE and Palmetto Fellows scholarships are merit-based programs. GCS seniors have earned more than $508.7 million in scholarships over the past five years.

GCS graduates have been accepted into prestigious colleges and universities in South Carolina and across the nation, including Brown, Duke, Emory, Furman, Case Western Reserve, Clemson, College of Charleston, Georgia Tech, Harvard, University of Chicago, University of South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Washington and Lee, West Point, Wingate, Winthrop, and Wofford.
