Four District Band Programs Earn Top Award
Greenville County Schools would like to recognize the band programs and directors at Mauldin Middle, Mauldin High, Blue Ridge High, and Travelers Rest High for earning the South Carolina Band Directors Association Outstanding Performance Award. This is the highest possible award available to band programs in South Carolina.
The award is given to programs that show demonstrated levels of high student achievement in the areas of marching band, concert band, all-state band, region band, and solo & ensemble. Students from these programs consistently performed at the highest level through the 2013-2014 school year.
Only 39 middle schools and 44 high schools earned this award across the state.
