Fisher Middle School Now Accepting Teaching Applications for 2014-15

Dr. Phinnize J. Fisher Middle School (PJFMS) is now accepting teaching applications for the 2014-15 school year. PJFMS will be the first science, technology, engineering, ARTS, and math (STEAM) Middle School in Greenville County Schools.

The new state-of-the art middle school, scheduled to open in August 2014 in the ICAR/Millennium Campus, will feature a unique environment where students can easily transition into the school with or without prior involvement in a project-based STEAM environment.

Students will receive a rigorous, well-rounded education using an inquiry and project-based learning model with flexible, block scheduling. Through projects, students will learn academic content, practice 21st Century skills such as collaboration, communication and critical thinking, and create high-quality, authentic products and presentations.

Additionally, please send a letter of interest, resume and a copy of your SC teaching certificate to phinnizefisherjobs@greenville.k12.sc.us. The tentative deadline for applicants is February 7, 2014; however, applications will be accepted until all positions have been filled.

For more information, please contact Dr. Jane Garraux, Principal at 452-0810 or Mr. Matt Critell, Program Director at 452-0805.
