Pre-Registration Dates for Four-Year-Old Kindergarten (4K) Screening - Deadline Extended to Feb. 4
Parents of four-year-old children are reminded to pre-register their child for the GCS at-risk four-year-old kindergarten program for the 2014-15 school year. Visit any GCS elementary school or child development center to pre-register.
Your child must turn four years old on or before September 1, 2014 to pre-register. You must present your child’s birth certificate, immunization certificate or religious exemption statement, and two proofs of residence such as a power bill and copy of your lease.
Children selected for 4K programs must demonstrate academic or developmental needs and/or risk factors including low family income and low parent education level.
At-risk 4K screenings will be held March 19-21, 2014 for pre-registered students.
