School Social Workers Honored

The Pregnant and Parenting School Social Workers were recently honored with the Greenville Health System’s Inaugural Cribs for Kids Partnership Award. Cribs for Kids South Carolina is a statewide initiative of Safe Kids South Carolina. The School Social Workers provided safe-sleep education to parenting students and their families to help reduce the risk of injury and death of infants due to unsafe sleep environments. The goal of the program is that more caregivers will understand the safest place for a child to sleep is alone, on their back in their own cribs. Through this collaboration, 42 parenting students received Graco Pack ‘n Plays for their infants.
