National Walk to School DayStudents and families at Augusta Circle Elementary and other Greenville County Schools celebrated National Walk to School Day on October 9, 2013. Hundreds of walkers from the surrounding neighborhoods enjoyed using the new sidewalk at Augusta Circle, and celebrated with motivational music and cheers from the Greenville High band and cheerleaders. National Walk to School Day is celebrated each year to bring awareness to the benefits of reduced traffic congestion, building a sense of community, and improving neighborhood connections. Plus, it’s fun and healthy!
