By Law, Student without Vaccination or Objector’s Statement Cannot Attend School after September 20

Parents of seventh graders are reminded that their children are required by State law to have the Tdap vaccination or submit an objector’s statement within 30 calendar days from the first day of school. Parents must provide the school with documentation that their child has been immunized, or has a religious exemption or a medical exemption, by Friday, September 20.

If documentation is not provided by September 20, the student will not be allowed to return to school until he or she is vaccinated or submits an objector’s form (religious exemption or medical exemption).

The Tdap vaccine protects against diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis (whooping cough).
