Blue Ridge Middle National Ranking!
The Blue Ridge Middle School Battle of the Brains Team recently took third place in the National Academic Competition for middle and high schools in New Orleans. Blue Ridge qualified to attend by winning the state competition, which allowed them to compete against other teams from around the country in New Orleans. Going into the third day, Blue Ridge Team 1 was the top-ranked school in its division, defeating Cotter Middle School with a score of 475 to 180. . Blue Ridge Middle had the highest one-time game score (440) in the preliminaries and in the championship round. Blue Ridge Middle players include Michael Matthews, William Corbin, Amy Barnette, Campbell Davenport, Caliegh Terry, Addie Callahan, Elliott Corbin, and Isabell Greene. The teams advisors are Peggy Johnson and Kelley Schmidt.
