Plain Elementary School has been named a 2019-2021 National PTA School of Excellence. The school also celebrated this recognition two years ago.

The National PTA School of Excellence program is a two-year recognition program that supports and celebrates partnerships between PTAs and schools to enrich the educational experience and overall well-being for all students. By enrolling in this program, PTA and school administrators are making a commitment to identifying and implementing an action plan for school improvement based on PTA's National Standards for Family-School Partnerships.

“The 2019 – 2021 National PTA School of Excellence Award was accomplished through a collaborative effort and validates Plain Elementary School’s commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive school-family-community culture where everyone is invited to contribute to the success of all students,” said Plain Elementary Principal Debbie Mihalic. “This recognition gives us an opportunity to celebrate our partnerships and challenges us to explore additional goals for continuous school-wide improvement to support our children and enrich our connection with all families.”
