Instructional Technology and Educational Technology Services celebrated the 10th annual Upstate Technology Conference by welcoming almost 900 participants, presenters, and vendors to Wade Hampton High School on July 7 and 8. This year’s guest speaker, Catlin Tucker from Sonoma County, California presented four feature sessions including “Flip Instruction and Create Student-Centered Classrooms" and “Rethink Research and Engage Students.” In addition, participants chose from over 240 technology workshops on a variety of topics from Internet Safety to Google Classroom. Jennifer Kammer, a first-time participant from Mauldin Middle School said, “I loved every session. I am excited about everything I learned and will now spend the rest of my summer incorporating it into my teaching units."
