Lillian Brock Flemming Honored at Furman University Convocation posing with her diplomaLillian Brock Flemming Honored at Furman University Convocation hugging another graduateProfessional Development Recruiter and Greenville City Council Member Lillian Brock Flemming today was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Humanities degree from Furman University during the school’s fall convocation. The degree was presented by Furman President Elizabeth Davis and the celebration marks the 50th anniversary of desegregation at the university. Mrs. Brock Flemming is a member of Furman University’s Class of 1971.

Mrs. Sarah Reese (’71) also received the Honorary Doctor of Humanities degree. Reese, who teaches music at Pendleton High School, performed around the world during an outstanding career as an opera singer.
