Seventh Grader Andy Xu Qualifies for Math Olympiad
Andy Xu, a seventh grader at Sterling School, has qualified for the United States of America Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO). He is among 266 students from across the nation and one of three from South Carolina to qualify. Andy scored an 800 on the math section of the SAT to earn a place in the Olympiad. The USAMO will be administered April 30 and May 1.
The USAMO is administered primarily to juniors and seniors, along with extremely talented 10th graders and below who qualify. The USAMO will be administered April 30 and May 1 in Washington, D.C.
